Hi Guys
Does anyone have any experience of this lens?
I may have the opportunity of buying one and would really appreciate comments as to its quality etc.
I would be using it on my 60D
cheers
Graham

Sorry Graham - don't know much about that one - ours is the 70x300 which is quite good for the price (circa £250-£300). I have one or two images in the "Non-astro" imaging section if you want something to compare. It's acceptable for us but a bit slower (and narrower I think) than the one you're looking at. The pics come out nice and sharp though. Sorry I can't be more technical.... :)

That's an older lens, so the technology will be dated and older lenses are more likely to contain faults.

I've not personally used one so I can't comment on what it's like to use.

What would you expect to be shooting with it?

Well I went out and bought the lens secondhand.

I have taken a few shots with it and I am astonished just how good this lens is :)

It is absolutely "tack sharp"

For £70 I think I have an absolute bargain

Nice one Graham - so long as it cost no more than you wanted to pay, and you're delighted with the way it works - then it's a bargain. :)
