I had the feeling that may be the opinion of most people... Cheers guys

Looks like it's going to be a long wait to get into AP!

Always best to spend ya money on the thing you really need.. NO rush tibzz.. You can get very good results by making one of these...

I've had a look at those Col, but I'm still undecided, as I will need to buy a tripod and I'm not sure if I will have all the equipment for it? Looks like a bit of faffing around is needed and I'm not good with that!

Up until recently I might have said go for the eq3-2, however we have one at work and I was very surprised at the difference in quality between it and the eq5. The tripod is appalling and the feel in the motion is dreadful by comparison. I would seriously advise to go for the 5 and if you are even half thinking that a scope might be put on it at some point for astrophotography I would seriously consider waiting longer and go for the HEQ5. If you want me to, I'll bring the eq5 to Kelling again for you :)

Mine might be up for sale soon.

Ah I see, I noticed the tripod looks similar to the one I had with my first scope, and it was rubbish!

It would be great if you could bring yours so hopefully I can have a go, I won't forget this time, I promise :lol:
