Connector to connect a 12v car battery to a GOTO - SOLD

Hi all.

I have a super battery as supplied by Martyn and until I get all my dew heater stuff I have said the mother in law can borrow my battery set-up to power her Syncscan GOTO mount.

What I need is a way of connecting the battery to her mount, I am having great dificulty in locating this adaptor.

I need a 12v DC 1Amp Power Supply (Tip Positive), I beleive the adapter is a 2.1mm (or 2.5mm can't remember)

I have tried Mplins but their search facility is not the greatest.

HELP!

I just have a lead on one end a female cigarette adapter with built in 5A fuse to plug into Martyns 38A battery on the other end a 12v 2.1mm plug, you can buy them on E-bay for about £5.

If you want to run your mount from 230v then I use this one from Maplins

Cheers Mick, I will let her know about the "at home" option, but I was also looking for when in a field in the middle of no where.

I have this to attach my dew heater control box too (see attached thumbnails)

Can anybody find anything similar with a 2.5mm jack on the end?

Connect your lead the one in the picture above to Martyns battery and then plug in something similar to this lead found on E-Bay.

Also, where else can I get one, I don't trust flea bay , also don't have an account. I would of thought Maplins would of stocked them but can't seem to find it.

Not sure I'll look around tonight after I've done all my chores.

You unscrew the end of the cigarette plug and put what ever fuse you want in it.

My HEQ5 Synscan Pro draws 1.0A when tracking and 1.5A when fast slewing in both axies.

I use a 2A fuse, but don't take my word for that bit.

Perfect, thanks Mick. Don't mind paying a bit more for quality stuff and from a British supplier.

I know John at Astrodevepments in Chesterfield very good quailty cables if also a bit expensive http://stores.ebay.co.uk/astrodevelopments/Skywatcher-/_i.html?_fsub=2257937016&_sid=984688566&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Thanks for all your help guys, just spoke to John, nice chap, asked if I was part of EMS when I told him where I lived, mentioned that you Steve suggested this power cable and told me you knew him - small world!
