Noel, like the image but do i note a little bit of rotation on there or is it my old and decrepit eyes?


Not seen anyone do that with the Oiii data in both red and blue :)

You're right Sheila, I forgot to use a sub from the earlier Ha set as reference when I stacked last nights OIII data. I lined things up manually left/right/up/down in PS but couldn't get the rotation completely out.


 


I'll have to restack the OIII later and use a reference, that'll get rid of it.


 


I'm really after the SII now for the full set.

Ok, so how can you tell the first picture has a rotated frame in there, while I can tell an improvement in the second picture, I can find nothing wrong with the first?

What made the rotation stand out?

You can see it in the corners of the field..

look at the stars, they have slight trails in one direction, ie direction of rotation.  particularly at the edges of the image.
