Long exposures over 300 secs in Sharpcap ?

I wonder if some kind soul could prevent me from pulling the last of my hair out? :)

In Sharpcap, when used for long exposures, there is an exposure slider on the right hand side.

This allows one to set  exposures up to a maximum of 300 seconds.

Right next to this slider is a small window showing the number of seconds selected.    I can click into this window and thought that one could then manually set any exposure time, even over 300 secs.

On my PC I cannot manually set exposure times and I am dying to find out whether the author of Sharpcap didn't intend one to manually enter times but only use the exposure  slider up to 300secs ?

Or whether it is my PC giving me trouble?...........again. :D

Thanks to someone with Sharpcap, who knows the answer.  Do tell, do. :)

It seems a reasonable reply I guess (ie noise with webcams over 120secs).

Yes, but it doesn't allow one to see for themselves and experiment with over 300 secs.  Pity.
