C: Atik16Hr OSC + Baader UHC-S filter


 


This is a combination of 2 x 10 min + 2 x 5 min + 2 x 3 min + 4 x 90sec + 6 x 30 sec + 8 x 5 sec exposures


Processed in Neb3 and combined in Ps2


 


Stars are a bit mishapen but it is the same on every sub from the 10 minute ones to the 30 second ones. Coma?

Nice image Andy. Strange that even 30 sec exposures have misshapen stars, seems worse top left quadrant of image, could be coma. I tend to get equal amount of coma right around the edge on my SW200P. Has the image been cropped at all on the right and bottom?

It is not cropped at all.


The feedback from other forums seems to agree that it is coma.


Saving for a refractor at the moment so no coma corrector for me....

Same here, I'll be going for something between 80mm to 120mm triplet, can't afford a Takahashi, so read lots of reviews for mid range scopes, but got a few more months to decide.
