DSLR Jupiter 19.11.2013

Again, cut and paste from Facebook:

Experimental image of Jupiter and three of its moons. Again from video footage taken with Canon 6D at prime focus (well it had a 2x Powermate on too) on 180 Mak on AZEQ6GT mount. Two minute video. Converted to *.avi in PIPP; best 50% frames stacked in Registax. I'm really impressed with the results for a DSLR. I've got some longer footage so plan to process those in the next day or so, and would like to see about making the image of the gas giant a bit bigger.

I wasn't in the mood to battle with the laptop outside with the ZWO camera, hence playing with the DSLR.

Good stuff James :) will have a look on laptop when home as on iPhone cant really make out the detail (have had a few cocktails in cloud23 bar at Hilton Deansgate so may affect cognition/optical perception :) - great views of Jupiter and coronation street set!) get out there with ASI120MC I will be if it is clear tonight (Wednesday) as am itching to try new belt mod from Graham and first light the ASI120MC :)
