DSLR USB. Put a knot in it.

Here's a simple idea many may already do..........

The USB connection to the Canon cameras (and many other makes?), is very fragile and I may to pull or strain at it in the dark.  It is easily moved.

So I put a very loose knot in this USB lead near the camera end.

Thread a piece of string through it and then  through the strap holder just above. Tie a knot.

Now if I happen to move or  pull on the USB lead the little connection to the camera doesn't take any strain and remains securly plugged in.

Good idea for reducing accidental disconnection, but be careful if you trip over the wire that it doesn't pull all your kit to the ground and break things, rather than annoyingly just disconnecting the usb lead; a balance of risks/benefits.

My dslr has got wireless apparently, but i've still not got around to playing with it.
