Had another go at Jup tonight.


This time I used the 127mm Helios Frac.


Philips web cam


5 x Antares Barlow


 


6000 frames at 5 FPS


Best 20% stacked in Registax 5

Glad to see you having more time on the planets graham.

Yes the equatorials are purple on my i phone too; did you do your processing on a different computer to normal? If i process on my laptop everything looks really dark on any other device (well it did until i used a spyder thing to set them all up the same).

Did you really do 6000 frames at 5fps? That is 20 minutes worth of footage? I think the limit for Jupiter is regarded generally as 3.5mins, or under 5 mins certainly due to planetary rotation, unless you are using the de-rotating software.

It was mostly cloud when i went to bed at half ten last night :(
