Mars last night thanks to Malc-c

After struggling to get any detail on my images of Mars Malc-c told me to ditch the IR filter on the SPC 900.

So after 2 weeks of solid cloud freezing fog and everything in between the clouds rolled away leaving a clear bright sky with just a hint of high thin clouds passing by.

I fired up the obsy ditched the IR filter from the web cam and spent a memerable 4 hours taking AVI after AVI of my nemisis.

The results are amazing when compared to what I have taken in the past.

So thanks again Malcom you were spot on.

The Avi's were put through Registax 5 no other processing involved.

I have only attached the cropped Jpeg images.

The Tif one are even better.

Graham.

The Jpegs are a bit tiny but you can clearly see the polar ice cap and some surface details, just goes to show that the IR filter might not be a good as some people say.

Well done Grahram.

Good effort Graham, nice polar cap.

I have yet to get my butt out to have a good look at this, I have a 6mm planetary to play with now, so Iam hoping for half decent views of it.
