Couple of captures from last week.
Both are 3x300s subs @ 800 iso with a modified Canon 450D.
Taken a lot longer to process than to shoot

Peter - I think most of this is down to the 80mm optic I have on loan from Altair Astro...

More great images Francis....


 


I tried to see the Flame Nebula the other night with a 12" DOB and saw nothing. 


I'm told that it is difficult even with larger scopes, which makes the image even more amazing for me.


 


Just shows how imaging in the right hands can uncover the mysteries of the sky!
