Elac eclipse holiday

Recommended Posts

Im thinking of looking into organising an eclipse watch break to view next year's solar eclipse, its next march and would probably be in the north of Scotland but could be abroad depends on the interest really. Oh this is not exclusively an elac thing (not that anything is) all welcome.

Any thoughts?

A trip to the Scotland sounds feasible, just have to take a chance with the weather.

Remember there's no totality in Scotland. (nor Orkney or Shetland. It will be 90 something % though.)

For totality you need to go further north.......ie the Faroe islands.

If the Faroes are an option i'd love to come along.

It's something we need to look into obviously totality is the way to go if possible.

The Faroe Isles are very expensive to get to.

You can fly but it costs, or catch a boat from Iceland or Denmark.
