Has anybody tried using the QHY5 1 Mono for planetary imaging? Does it work? Are there any inherrant problems using it? Would like to try myself but wondered if anybody had tried it?

Cheers

I've used my QHY5 II on Jupiter. Results weren't too bad especially as it was my first go. There can be a bit of banding but with Jupiter it's pretty bright so you won't need much gain

Same here, used it on lunar, solar, Jupiter and Saturn and it works OK, as Steve says the software is a downside though

The qxvideo captire that came with the cam, very clunky

I had more colourful phrases for it esp after the 19th crash in a row :bat:

I will see if I can find the images IIRC they were quit sharp well worth the effort
