cosmic dave Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) Thanks everyone that turned up last night at badger farm, considering the forecast we had a great night, paul got his big dob out and we had some fantastic views of mars and Jupiter and a bonus couple of really good iridium flares to top the night off. We have had a change of plan re the meeting hut and have now been given the use of the sumner house which we intend to renovate thankfully its in a lot better condition than the hut we use presently. Also keep an eye on June's and July's meetings as we intend having guest speakers before it gets dark at both meeting's. tbird Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Just goes to show that it's best not to write a meet off just because of a bad forecast, we had some excellent views of Jupiter, Mars and the Moon as well as some Messier objects, M65, M66, M3, M13, M51, M81 and M82.
