Well here it is, my very 1st pic.

The moon was full but I just had to have a play with my new toys.

Think I have gone to far in the processing, or I'm just not very good at it yet.

Not quite hubble standard but I'm well happy with it for my 1st go.

I can see many late nights coming up . Don't think the wife will be pleased, oh well.

That's very good Gary, you should be proud of that! Like the colours!! My M97/108 got washed out by the Moon but you seem to have that sorted! Good image!  :)

Thanks everyone,

I'm hooked.

Its got me really keen to get back out there.

Haha, I'm even thinking about buying a small tent so I can camp out in my garden all night: :facepalm2:  :nonono:

You have traces of the spiral arms in M81 and some good detail in M82. Really like it and excellent for a first image.

Nice work Gary :) How long exposures did you manage on your subs? Also new to imaging myself and tried the same targets recently. Such a challenge but great fun indeed!
