Had another go at these two again.


managed a few more lights this time

Don't seem to have as much colour in this shot.


Processing at the minute is like the blind leading the blind, so obviously I've done something different.


 


I'll get the hang of it eventually.


 


Still pleasing for my second attempt at astrophotography


 


24 x light 240s


10 x dark


10 x bias


noise reduction freeware

That looks better. You don't need to do bias frames by the way. Canons since the 40D do that automatically on each frame. Some flats would help with the vignetting though :)

Didn't know that about the canons doing the bias for you, nice chaps.


 


Yes I do need flats, not quite sure about doing them but will read up.


Also going to sort myself a darks library on the many cloudy nights we have and arrange them according to temperature .


 


This is just the start of a long (and expensive ) road I've decided to go down, but all in good time.
