Fitting an electric focuser to a SW MN190

tricky one that Ron, but from the pictures it looks like you may need to make a bracket that attaches to the two focuser screws then needs to bend 90 degrees to attach the motor, maybe a length of ali 2" or 3 " wide, bend up the bottom 90 degrees and the you`ll need to cut down the length to fit the focuser and then trim off the 90 degree flange to fit the motor, drill a couple of holes for the motor bolts and away you go.

Yes Rob, my idea also but wanted to check if there was any alternative! No answers on SGL so it looks like a bit of metal bending and drilling  :)

I'm surprised more folk don't use this scope though??

Simple enough Ron.

You only need an 'L' shaped piece of metal (same shape as the original bracket.)

Run it along the angled flat so it picks up the mount screws of the focuser.

Spin the motor round so the flange is square to it.

Mark and drill the holes - job done. :)
