M13 from the 2nd of May

didn`t intend to image this target but PHD was playing up so after a hour i gave up and went to M13,


not very long exposure times in all, just 6 x 30 seconds 8 x 3 minutes and 5 x 5 minutes, stacked in DSS and combined in Photoshop CS3,


no darks , flats or bias frames,


taken with the unmodded Canon 1100D on the GT81, guided with the zwo asi 120mm on the ST80.

saving in Jpeg seems to of added alittle noise to the pictures, look better in tiff format,


think i`ve got the propeller in the cropped version fairly nicely though

i think i`ve got a little bit of field rotation going on, what do others think ?

thanks guys, will save it as a png next time and see how that goes, just taken some flats and bias frames, waiting till it gets cooler now to take some darks and will re process it again later

Nice one. Love both the cropped and the wider view.

Is the core a bit bluer than normal, or is that my iphone screen-eyes-combo?

I hope you are going to print it out and pin it up in the kitchen or somewhere.

cheers James, yes i think it does have a slight tinge of blue to it.

now uploaded pictures are in PNG. format they look alittle better.
