First attempts at imaging with the dob on the new mount.


In attendance: D&J Flockers Ltd (thats Damian & James as we are expert flockers after doing two tubes  ;))

Next Jupiter wih the Phillips webcam. Th data on this was really poor as she was so low and done on a bit of a whim really. We were both surprised to even get this image.

Hi, cannot see the cluster, Jupiter looks OK and the Moon is a bit over exposed. Good first efforts though, keep at it! :)

But all lovely. Really pleased for you that the mount performs well, and handles the scope perfectly. You've taken to the mount like a duck to water.

The cluster has come out superbly Damian.


As Ron says the moon needs the gain / exposure backing down a bit but its a cracking shot none the less.


You must be well pleased.

Tbh Allan i'm not finding it that difficult, James has learnt me such a lot in a short space of time so big thanks to him.

 

 

 

Thanks for the positive comments chaps. I can see the benefits of imaging already...just feels more satisfying.
