It was very humid last evenking and my Canon DSLR camera was used outside for just over an hour.

It became soaking wet and I wonder if others wrap their camera up in some sort of cloth to prevent this from happening?

That might increase the noise due to temp rise though.

Does it matter anyway if the camera gets wet as long as the lens is kept clear?

my DSLR used to get wet and i just bought it inside after imaging and let it dry out naturally.

Never had a problem :)

Mine gets wet on a regular basis without any adverse effect.

Cannot be any different to using a camera normally outside. >_>

Mine has been soaked and frozen with no bad effect. I do use a 2" dew band on the lens when doing wide field.

OK everyone on all that.  Thanks.

Seems that I can take my Canon into the bath with me

together with my little plastic duck. :)
