Guest peepshow Posted June 11, 2014 Share Posted June 11, 2014 This is my first DSO captured with my barn door tracker (described on another thread), a few days ago. 30 minutes exposure jpeg, with 75-300mm Tamron zoom lens set at 200mm. ISO 800. Plate solving shows M12 to be trhe arrowed DSO. Although this image was well cooked as LP was the moon and the star images are not good it does illustrate that a barn door can track for long times using tele lenses with little star trailing. Excitement and problems to be solved all the way during construction. Now to set up the GOTO synscan head, and start more excitement with subs/flats/stacking and RAW's. ......Oooow, and not forgetting more problems too no doubt.
