M57 Ring Nebula

First image in a while. trying out my 200p on my NEQ5 (still awaiting the scope I intend to run for imaging on it :) )

Something a bit different for me and a chance to test out my mounts tracking and the 200p for imaging.

This is mostly 30s subs (about 30) then later combined with some longer exposures that I felt brought out more colour although the sky was looking rather blue at mid summer. All stacked in DSS with a few darks. Coma looks to be prevalent at the edges and my focussing is a little out with no focussing mask yet. Tracking ok on 30s subs but I noticed a little trailing on the longer ones of 3 mins or so. Still not bad I think since I only roughly polar aligned.

Comments/feedback welcome as ever.

Cropped with extra data for colour

Cropped but with less data. Only using ISO800 30s subs approx. 30 and 7 darks

widefield for me also, just needs a tweek with the focus, you can make your own bantinov mask, there`s a free program on the web somewhere which makes a pdf file to your specks,

+1 for the wide field, really nice. It is right there on my favourites list, got to find it every time I get out in summer/autumn.

The 200P isn't too shabby  for imaging, OK there are dedicated imaging scopes, but bang for the buck, you can't beat it.

Have the program already. Can you print directly onto acetate? Else what do people use to cut out the pattern.

Thanks all for the comments.

Loving the 200p for visual. Will be great in dark skies.
