I had noticed that, great selling point for the locals. Get your glands done while you look at the sun. :-)

We usually have 3 or 4 scopes with Bader film filters/ glass filters depending on who brings what. One chap has pst but i dont think he would bring to a public event. Was a very busy event last year.

Looks like it's going to be a busy weekend for IDAS Members!!

Not sure what to bring as a white light solar scope - 80mm frac or a 6 inch reflector - decisions, decisions :)

Think frac is better for the little kids who can't reach the eyepiece on the newts.

See you Sunday Mark.

Thanks to Steve who will be bringing his PST along for the event.

Well, another good day of solar observing between the clouds. Lots of people showed an interest and we had some good views.

Big thanks to Steve (Ibbo) and mike (Perkilator) for lending a hand today.

Wow, looks busier than your event on the Saturday. Shame I could not make this event.

Thanks Mike.

Daz, they had no choice but to walk past us, they never knew what hit them. :-)

Yes, thanks to everyone for coming along to support the event today.  Good amount of people walking around, and we were all able to show them some great Sunspots - between the clouds!  I'll try and post a couple of pictures - if I can figure out how to do it.

Bye

A bit and hide and seek with the sun but some fine views were had and many unsuspecting members of the public where given views of the sun

Looks like you had a super day. Sorry I missed your events. Just been too busy with work and birthdays to get out recently. S
