very good effort for someone thats just started, nicely framed and nice detail.

more details i.e. was it your canon camera on the new ed80 ? i guess it was with that field of view, exposure length and so on.

you can take some shorter exposures and overlay them as to show a less blown out core

where to start :)

borrowing my mates brand new 1100d for the evening so the sensor was nice and fresh :)

3 hours setting up the polar alignment another hour making sure the Polar Scope was aligned bang on!!!

Using the 3 point triangle in EQmod with CDC has helped map the sky better..

Finally getting aligmaster to work better then it did too.

Now i'm getting about 180ish seconds with pinpoint ish stars but the guider has been ordered so looking forward to longer soon..

Yes was with an 1100d prime focus, from a few nights ago on a exceptionally clear night here, spent time processing or over processing the pic :) but its made up of 10 x 30sec ISO800 10x 60 sec ISO 800 5x 120 ISO 800 + Darks cropped.

I have really messed about in PS so its really over exposed as I couldn't find away of getting the outer cloud detail without really messing about it the brightness and levels ect ect.
