IC 1396 from last night, didn't quite go to plan and noisy and focus not great but being as it took me an age to get the part I wanted in a half decent position in frame I'm happy with what I did get. :)

Taken using my usual stuff:

SW 150 PDS, EQ5 Pro Synscan GOTO.

Guiding: SW ST80 and QHY5

Modded Canon 600D with CLS clip filter

Using: BYEOS, PHD, DSS, Photoshop CC.

15 x 300s lights (I had 30 programmed to be done but halfway through I think one of my cats decided to take a look at my computer and pressed something :facepalm: )

10 x 300s darks

bias

flats ( although think these need to be better as image noisy)

 

I think I may have over done the processing but first time I have followed a tutorial but I did learn lots about PS.

 

Anyway here it is:

Hi Ron,

Yes use a Bat mask it works really well, just taken scope out to cool and checked collimation and it was off so corrected it. Hopefuly I will get better star shapes tonight and no help from the cats!

real nice Vicky, your images are really coming along, i had trouble getting colour out of my DLSR but it was unmodded.
