Ok, anyone in the Derby area know how to set up a Celestron SLT127.

I think I need to spend a bit of time with someone who knows this scope and can tutor me through it.

I just can't get it to star align.

I've not used anything like this scope before..

Is it the software side if things you're struggling with ?

Have you checked YouTube for tutorials etc ?

Are you putting the date in correctly, these things are American so require month, day, year not day, month, year, will make a massive difference?

Thanks guys, after viewing the links and re-reading the manual I think I'm ready to have another go once the snow clouds get lost!

It would be nice to arrange a viewing session (subject to weather of course) with someone local though if anyone's game?

I went to the DDAS star party last Saturday but the viewing was poor and I couldn't get aligned!
