Guest Tweedledum Posted February 7, 2015 Share Posted February 7, 2015 I think the point is that it is really only now that the censors are exceeding a standard 35mm negative, which would be a 30Mb file size. Even though most people had their photos processed at 6*4" using little of the data held on the neg. You can now use the data off the censor without interpolation. And whilst 50Mp is overkill for us at $3500 it is not far away from the first decent digital cameras that came out, my first 1gb SD card cost £72.
