Synscan message following completion of alignment

Recommended Posts

Hi folks

I wonder if anyone can help with this one. I have a Skywatcher 127 mak on an Alt-Az motorised mount with a synscan controller.

When I perform a 2-star alignment I get as far as the  "Alignment Successful" confirmation message only to then receive a "CAUTION: Previous PNE settings applied" message. Once I clear this and start to find objects, the scope seems fine. For the life of me, I can't find any reference to this message on Google or in the Skywatcher manual. Anyone come across this one before? :(

cheers

Not sure, I sort of assume it could mean that previous Periodic Error calibration is being used perhaps? That being the case though I would expect it to say PE settings not PNE
