Assume you took these with RGB filters Steve? How do you go about focussing for planetary? Are there any software tools like the FWHM in BackyardEOS/Nikon? Do you have to refocus much between filters? Any thoughts on parfocal filters?

Think I am going to buy a QHY5L-II mostly for guiding but will have a bit of a play with planetary hence asking my question. Mono probably a bit better but then the extra hassle of filters and timing.

yes I use RGB filters

I do it by eye usually using one of the moons

to be strictly accurate yes refocus between filters

but on this run I only tweaked focus once on the next to last rgb run the seeing was that steady I did not have to refocus

normally I would use the electric focuser but on this night it was on the 102 and I did it by hand :o
