Thumbscrews - these are approx 30mm long. The head is 12mm long x 10mm diameter at its widest part; the threaded section is approx 18mm long x 4mm diameter. The thread is M4 x 0.7 pitch and runs nicely in the wall lugs with that thread.


 


These look quite nice, not sure if 18mm worth of thread is enough

I think 18mm of thread is a bit on the short side, how long is the original allen head screw?

You are correct, it's M4. You will need around 35mm of thread to ensure you have the full range of movement. I'll have a look, I made some up and I don't know if I have any left.

I'm guessing these would fit my 250p Dob - if so I would love some so I can throw the silly little allen key away :)
