Taken in poor conditions and with a lot of dust bunnies etc.

is this the area chucking out the flares?

It is yes, and from the other day it has swapped ends, the "head" as it were, was on the right at the beginning of the week with the tail off to the left but now the head has shrunk and the tail grown. I might be able to do better with another process, it has stacked all the frames, not just the best ones....

Just been round Rob (bino-viewer) house and had a look through his Herschel wedge at the same group of sunspots, well they were the only group visible today. The wedge worked really well with the SW Esprit 20ED so might be buying one.


 


What site do you use Mike to get info on the sunspots.

Had another play, couldn't really get much more out of it but have bunged a picture of Earth on in scale for reference.
