Can an SCT go out of collimation.

I have a 10 inch Meade SCT.

For the past couple of nights I have been trying to image Jupiter but cannot for the life of me get a decent focus.

The image looks very washed out with no definition for want of a better word.

Is it possible for an SCT to get out of sync ????
