I've had a look through all entries submitted in April and have narrowed it down to the following. Thank you for all the entries it made my job pretty hard this month.

DSO

PhilJ's M3 only just scrapped into this months PoTM. A wonderful photo with which shows the globular off very well. The stars look great and there is quite a lot of colour.   https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11738-m3/

Another entry that just scrapped into Aprils pool of photo's is Graham's lovely M51 https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11746-finally-managed-an-image-m-51-from-tonight-30042016/ . I like this one, it looks so natural and shows a lot of details. PhilJ and Dean Watson also gave us great examples of M51.

StuartJPP submitted a fantastic M81 and M82, simply amazing as always. https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11681-a-roundish-one-and-a-stick-shaped-one/

Staying on the subject of M81 and M82, another one of these marvels was submitted by Ibbo, once again very natural looking and it looked brilliant. https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11698-another-8182/

Antares Paul gave us a wonderful IC5010 as a welcome back present and it worked, well done Paul. https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11698-another-8182/

Bottletopburley gave us lovely photo's of M42, M13, and of course a rarely photographed image of the blue snowball.

Lastly was a corker of an image by Johnnyaardvark of the Leo Triplet, awesome image. https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/11628-m13-and-leo-triplet/

The competition was stiff, but well done Steve - a great image! An inspiring sight, to see 3 galaxies so well framed!
