By heck its cold out there at the moment it must be the end of November and time for another POTM round up.

Staying with the same format of picking out certain images as per previous months.

Comets, Asteroids etc

Only one submission this month in this category .

Sunny Phil  caught a meteor

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13659-meteor-november-12th/ I quite like this image, its not deep or long exposure but it's got the essence of spontaneity which meteor bagging is all about.

Deep Sky

Corr blimey there's been a few submissions this month, we must have had a few clear nights J

I like andyboy1970s first RGB image with Ha, for a starter this is good, also I like the FOV. Yes its always nice to see nebula in their entirety but detail can be just as interesting. No I didnt laugh Andy.

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13642-first-ever-rgbha-image/

Sheila was at Kelling and gave us 2 processings of the Pacman.

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13683-ngc281-2-ways-quick-process-from-kelling/ a nice comparison.

plus a bright DSO from Sheila as she says not one of her normal targets

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13687-first-lrgb-image-of-not-my-normal-fuzzies/

I like the colour Grahams image of the Thors Helmet Nebula

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13676-thors-helmet/

Ibbos mosaic Sh205 with NGC1491 is nicely composed

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13679-sh2-205-with-ngc1491/

Hats off to Joe for making a step into the dark art of astro imaging, his M45 shows far more than my early attempts

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13704-the-pleiades-re-edited/

Allan the Plumbers Jelly fish is full of detail and nicely processed

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13591-ic443-jellyfish-nebula-in-ha/

plus his Elephants Trunk in Hubble shows lots of depth

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13705-elephants-trunk-nebula-ic1396-narrowband/

Lunar

Perkil8r has been busy this month with his new 120 refractor giving us shots of different phases

here's one from the 1st

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13612-luna-928-waxing-gibous-01112017/

and another from later in the month

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13729-luna-610-waxing-gibbous-27112017/

Brady gave us a gibbous moon showing loads of detail

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13743-last-nights-moon/

Planetary

Never seen Uranus imaged in Ha before but Graham bagged the planet with 4 moons here

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13675-uranus-and-four-of-her-moons/

Solar

This month its been all down to Ibbo and Graham for solar

I like the prom detail on this one of Ibbos

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13647-sol-10-11-2017/

also Graham got some nice prom detail here

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13681-solar-from-this-morning-18112017/

Widefield

I like the colours in Bino Viewers  Venus and Jupiter conjunction

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13655-venus-jupiter-conjunction-131117/ Rob has also got the famous stationary wind turbines in there J

OK then, not an easy one at all this month because there are some stunners of images in there so apologies if yours hasnt been mentioned it's just that I would be here for a week doing the round up and you would be there for a week reading it if I included everyone.

So down to the pick, credit to Sheila, Ibbo and Allan the Plumber for some excellent accomplished DSO images again.

But POTM November 2017 I reckon goes to Joe for his image of the Pleiades

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/13704-the-pleiades-re-edited/

Why, because Joe is just starting out and learning the ropes and this is a good image, far better than I ever did when starting out.

Well done and keep em coming folks

Fair play, that's a very good image for a relative newcomer to the dark art. A very worthy winner. Congrats Joe, and all other notable mentions. Big thanks yet again Phil for another good roundup, there were a lot of images this month that's for sure. I would not have liked to try and judge it!
