Happy New Year to everyone I hope you have all had a good time and got lots of astro related stuff to play with.

 

So off we go with the usual format of a précis of the images submitted for December 2018, there's been a lot of great images posted this month but I have to keep the round up a sensible length.

 

Deep Sky Objects

Graham kicked off the months DSOs with an IC410

Comets, Asteroids, Meteors and Meteorites

Well there must have been a Comet around cos theres lots of photos this month J

A comet and M45 shot from Sunnyphil

So, quite a lot of images to get my teeth into this month and as ever it isn't easy some pictures for the round up let alone one picture for the title of POTM, however after deliberating and revisiting various images I reckon the image that does it for me this month is.........

 

IC1871 by Chris P.  I was immediately taken with this image, good colour and contrast and went back to it a couple of times, I would like to see a higher resolution image, I do think it's lost some in compression for posting but even so it stands on its own as it is I reckon. Nice one Chris the Hypersta is working well.
