Join members of the Derby & District Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing at Alvaston Park, Derby on Saturday 28th January 2023 from 4:30 pm till 8:30 pm. Admission is free. Families welcome.

 

  • Explore the wonders of the night sky through one of the society's telescopes
  • Learn about the mysteries of the universe as part of a star walk
  • Listen to 'starry stories'
  • Create some astronomy themed crafts
  • Astronomy and space exhibits - see our moon globe signed by the Apollo astronauts!
  • Refreshments available at the Waterside Cafe

 

The majority of the activities are outdoors so please bring sensible footwear, warm clothing and a torch.
