Our next INTRODUCTION TO ASTRONOMY evening will be held this Friday 16th May 2014 from 7:30 pm onwards at The Friends Meeting House, St. Helens Street, Derby, DE1 3GY. DDAS member Adrian Brown will be giving a A Guide to Astrophotography. Adrian is one our society's most successful astrophotographers and examples of his work can be found in the gallery section of our society website. Indeed, we call him 'Mr Hubble'!

In his presentation Adrian will give a beginners guide to astrophotography, what equipment you will need and your first steps in astrophotography. This should be an interesting meeting, if you are considering starting in astrophotography, then this is the meeting for you.

The idea of these introductory meetings is to allow people more time to have their questions about astronomy answered and discuss things at a greater length than at our 'main' meetings. There is a collection which helps pay for the rental of the Friend's Meeting House which is £1 for members and £3 for non-members.
