Our NEXT MAIN MEETING will be held this Friday 5th September 2014 from 7:30 pm onwards at The Friends Meeting House, St. Helens Street, Derby, DE1 3GY. DDAS member Anthony Southwell will be giving a talk entitled Rosetta: Learning the Language of Comets. Anthony will take us on a journey of discovery to find out what comets are and what role they play in the evolution of the solar system. He will outline the spacecraft missions to comets, including the latest results and imagery from the European Space Agency's Rosetta mission. There is a raffle with astronomy book prizes and coffee and biscuits are provided during the break. There is a collection which helps pay for the rental of the room which is £1 for members and £3 for non-members. Why not join us for some refreshment at the Seven Stars afterwards?
