You can't go wrong with that - believe it or not I had one last year and it delivers very nice views of all the brighter dso's, planets and moon. Great starter scope, light and portable, easy to use, just levell it, point it magnetic north and set the latitude scale and you're most of the way there. At £160 new it's about the best you'll get in that price bracket :)

Hmmm... from ebay It's entirely up to you - personally I'd throw in the extra £16 and get it from FLO - you'd get good after sales support and a full guarantee - if anything's wrong they would replace or refund it with no question :)

Yeah - it's in Doc's post lol - FLO is a specialist astro retailer (not a camera shop). They take good care of the astro community and they know what they are talking about cos they're all astronomers too :)

Good choice, the mother in law has a 130P sysnscan goto and I have used it many times, (same size mirror) I have seen Jupiter, it's moon's, and numerous messier objects with it.

Nice scope to start you off.

Now you just need some clear skies!

Cheers daz I wonder if u can put these on a tripod if I choose

Ohh, is it on a dob mount?

And yes, you should be able to mount it on a tripod, all though, thinking about it, may be not. The parts that make it a flexi tube may stop you from attaching the equipment needed to attach it to a tripod. If it was a solid tube then yes, but a flexi tube, doubt it,
