A Happy and Safe New Year to everyone.

I remarked on last months poor weather not imagining that December would be even worse. Not one pixel or photon has been caught by or passed through any of my gear this month it has been so poor. Still, some managed to get out in the brief clear spells we were granted and well done to you that did.

So here is a round up

Comets, Asteroids, meteors etc

Graham posted his round up from November  and December on meteors detected

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20433-novembers-hit-list/

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20610-another-year-of-meteor-records-completed/

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20487-heart-nebula-625hrs/

Brady bagged the California with his Samyang

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20503-california-nebula/

A deep M78 from ChrisP

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20510-m78-lrgb/

PeterShah was grabbing the photons from Spain

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20549-ngc7293-the-helix/

Solar

Graham started us off with

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20432-solar-from-today-02122021/

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20441-solar-from-today-04122021/

Widefield

Derbyshire Dave kicked us off with some sunsets from his trip to Wales

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20434-elan-valley-sunset/

and a Tannenbaum sunrise

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20517-tannenbaum-sunrise/

Ibbo gave us a nice alignment shot

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20483-the-moon-joined-the-after-sun-party/

and I could not let a Moon Set go by on one of the rare clear mornings we have had this month

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20546-moonset/

As ever choosing one image for the picture of the month gets harder each month because the images are all superb but choose I must and this month for me has been a close choice with Neil Phillips a close third with Jupiter and Saturn images

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20439-saturn-jupiter/

and 8472 a close second with his image of the Perseus Molecular Cloud

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20493-perseus-molecular-cloud/

and first is a stunner of an image of M78 from ChrisP

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20510-m78-lrgb/

I will post POTY tomorrow folks
