Modifying my 1000D would've cost more than I paid for it so this was the logical alternative, or that's that's what I've convinced myself. However, i think this one is a bit different. I have a Baader Mk3 and I’ve fallen out with it a few times. I’ve been using it lately for Solar and Lunar observing and it works well. Pegasus astro had their latest gear on show at last weekends IAS show with their UK head rep in attendance. They were demoing their new harmonic drive mount, and a new electronic micro focuser which looks like the evolution of what you have above.
