Define a while, that could be only 5 minutes :D

Nice haul you have made recently Paul, just in time for the dark nights!

A while will probably be until I set up and realise there is now something else I need!

I went to IAS specifically for the TV 7mm but there was a Vixen Lvw 8mm there for a good price I was in turmoil but went for the TV eventually. So much for being a Vixen man :-)

Hoping to get first light with it shortly

I presume the rectangular boxes are desicant holders. If so, a very neat idea.

Where did you get those Mick?

Spent the day at IAS as Lynne had a jewellery table there, I got a Kendrick primery dew band as planned but also a SW Star Adventurer set up as well!!

Will post some photo's and a report as soon as I can out and test it. It will also take my ED80 so will be a good grab'n'go set up (I hope!)

And some Space gloves!

Cheers

Ron

My 7 year old Skywatcher 17ah Powertank appears to have died.

(it only lasted 3 hours on Sunday, powering a single 6" dew band)

Would it be worth taking the SW power tank apart and having a look if it's worth changing the battery? It might be a handy second power supply. You should be able to fit a new battery in, something like this.

I also went to all alladins cave (IAS) and had a wonderful day trawling the stalls and chatting etc.

Said hello to Ron and Lynne too!

TV Delos 12mm,

ES 40mm super wide,

Astro gloves

OIII 2" filter

£2 moon map!

Happy days!

I know that is a decent battery, they do last and all of the "Baz batteries" were Yuasa's. Most of those are still going strong even after being retired from active service.

If you need a battery, get a decent one, or you will be wasting your money, the cheap Chinese ones don't last. You also need a decent charger, the plug top transformers are not up to looking after the battery either.

Some photo's of my new Star Adventurer mount, mainly for the camera but can be used as a quick grab'n'go setup with the added attraction of having it's

own batteries and polar scope.
