Its been a mixed month astro weather wise but plenty of folk have got out there imaging, particularly deep sky. So many that if I were to list every submission I think it would be rather lengthy, so I shall highlight those submissions that have caught my eye this month.

Comets, Asteroids, Meteors & Meteorites

No submissions this month

Deep Sky Objects

A lot of submissions this month reflecting on the clear spell we had earlier in the month.

Sheila has been getting her kit working with a number of super images this month, great to see it all coming together, theres so many that I will only link to my favourites but they are all worth a look.

I like the Crescent nebula here alot,  particularly the last process, very nice subtle processing bringing some nice detail out http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5396-ngc-6888-in-ha/

and my favourite of the batch the Ha, Oiii and Si in RGB (the 1st image) here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5413-wip-ngc6888/ well done Sheila your really cooking with that rig now.

With Cygnus riding high Antares_Paul gave us a nice wide NGC7000 here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5368-ngc7000-ha-with-the-starwave-ed80/

I like Ibbos' M16 in Ha here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5509-quick-m16/ and here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5521-m16-in-ha-part2/. I wish I could get that object from my observatory I just love the detail in there.

Wolfman_55 was busy with teh Veil and M31 http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5374-m31-and-the-veil-nebula/ all good images well done. Also congrats on getting a lovely shot of the Triffid http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5423-triffid-nebula/, I like this one because of the colour, detail and sense of scale, well done Dave

ben72 gave us a nice deep shot of one of my favourite objects M27 http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5366-m27-the-dumbellapple-core-nebula/

peter shah's image of the dark nebula LDN 673 is fascinating and beautiful http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5395-ldn-673-in-aquila/ and pete also gave us a super Pacman http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5517-n281-with-a-little-extra-h-alpha/

Graham has also been busy with plenty of images this month, I do like the dark dust in his Pacman here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5490-pacman-neb-from-tonight-27072013/

and the close up of M31 here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5515-cloud-stops-play-on-m31/shows good promise for a mosaic.

Lunar

dardano's images of the 18th July moon through his Dob shows good focus detail and sharpness and he did it again on the 21st http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5457-the-moon-july-21th-at-00h47-edt/ to good effect.

Grahams GT81 and Atik were put to good use here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5475-luna-shot-from-4am-this-morning/

Planetary

Unsurprisingly there have been few planetary submissions this month but well done to those brave souls who still tackled a low Saturn

oldfruit http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5353-saturn-1072013/

and dardano http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5441-saturn-july-16th/

Sketching

No submissions

Solar

The good weather has given folks a good chance to get some solar

Ibbo has given us some lovely Ha close ups and full discs this month my favourite being http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5375-current-very-active-region/

And well done to Graham for persevering with his 1st solar shots and the resulting full disc is really good http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5510-sorry-its-me-again-with-another-solar-pic/

Widefield

Glider gave us a shot of the milky way from his holiday here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5370-milky-way-060713/

Congrats to Ron Clarke for bagging some nice noctilucent clouds here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5435-nocto-clouds-17072013/

James and Noel gave us some super lightning shots here which aren't really astro but are so good I had to mention them

http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/5464-lightening-22072013/

There is one image that really stood out to me and which takes the PoTM title for July I reckon and thats Sheilas Crescent in RGB here http://www.astrobin.com/full/48347/. I like the depth, sharpness of stars and the subtle colouring. The background nebulosity also fascinates me, nicely processed to bring that out Sheila.

As there are no pictures on the thread any more, is everyone just putting a web address or is there a place to put POTM photo's ie: for example an album on Flckr??

In these sort of image hosting websites (take photo bucket for example) you upload your pictures to them, then when you select the picture you get about 4 options, 1 of the options is a link you can copy and paste into your post that when read from EMS, it displays the full picture.

As an example, click one of my guide links in my signature below.
