I am not going to mention anything about the weather, its all been said before but a few brave souls have managed to get out there and take a few images, well done to them.

red dwarf had a go at M13 also and gave us this lovely shot http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7939-m13-from-the-2nd-of-may/ and here with his new scope http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8013-another-m13-on-a-moon-lit-night/ and Robs getting to grips with RGB here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8019-m101-lrgb-from-the-17th-may-2014/

fwm891 has been busy this month with a close up of IC5070 here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8008-ic5070-in-h-alpha/, M16 & 17, an NGC project here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8024-two-new-ngc-projects-started/

Lad98 gave us a nice shot of M101 http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8030-1st-attempt-at-m101/

A very close close up of the Elephants Trunk from Kheldar here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8078-early-summer-project-first-subs/

The Elephants Trunk was the target for Xanthic also here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7999-ic1396-elephants-trunk-updated/. Very nice detail and depth.

Lunar
No submissions this month

Planetary
Tasking gave us a nice Saturn here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8018-saturn-from-17-may-14/

Graham had a go as well here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8023-saturn-from-tonight-18052014/ and here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8061-saturn-again/

Well done both for getting an image with the weather, darkness and elevation making imaging Saturn rather difficult at the moment.

Catman161s receding Mars shows plenty of detail http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8032-mars-19012014/

Sketching
No submissions this month

Solar
Plenty of activity up there this month plus a few good sunny days gave some an opprtunity to shoot the sun, even I managed a couple.

Graham gave us a close up of spots here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7973-sunspots-from-today-10052014/

Ibbo gave us a super view of prominences here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7994-last-gasp-prom-14-5/ and a full disc shot here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7997-full-disc-ha-14-5/

Perkil8r gave us a full disc shot herehttp://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8017-full-disc-in-white-light-with-false-colour/ and his different approach to background colour here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/8059-a-re-process-of-sun-from-17th-may/ the different colours have certainly brought out the faculae on the limb.

Widefield
Only one submission this month. fwm891 gave us a nice animation of the milky way scudding clouds and his observatory http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7945-milkyway-rise-through-cloud/

I'm pleased to see so many submissions this month despite the weather and it's great that folks have shown the commitment to get out there and image. It's not been an easy one this month by any means but one image has grabbed me more than the others and I am pleased to award Xanthics IC1396 here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7999-ic1396-elephants-trunk-updated/. Theres plenty of detail and depth in there, I would be well pleased with an image like that, well done Leigh a key to APT is on its way to you.
