The spell of good weather at the start of the month was refreshing giving folks a chance to get out there after a pretty dire winter clear sky wise. Therefore there has been quite a few submissions this month, too many to list here so I've had to include just a selection in the round up.

Comets, Asteroids, Meteors
No submissions this month

Deep Sky
Graham started the month off with a close up of the Rosette in Ha here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7350-rosette-neb-in-ha-from-tonight-01032014/ and later in the month gave us a colour version http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7428-rosette-neb-from-tonight-08032014/

fwm891 gave us a nice Horsehead and Leo Triplet here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7378-horse-head-and-leo-trio/

I like Alan the Plumbers Rosette here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7422-ngc-2244-rosette-neb/ and here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7467-ngc-2244-rosette-neb-new-processed/  at this depth its showing some very nice detail.

Congratulations VikN46 on your first galaxy shots http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7387-first-ever-galaxies-i-will-get-better-i-hope/

Sheila relaunched her rig with the new lLander here and gave us a set of nice DSOs here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7513-ic417-and-m82-first-light-tak-130-qsi-690-and-polaris-lander/

I like Gliders wide view of IC410 in Ha with Tadpoles here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/6820-ic410-the-tadpoles-in-ha-9114/

johnrt gave us a superbly coloured shot of M106 here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7575-m106/ loads of stuff going on in there, lots of faint fuzzies. Shows what 17 hours of data can do.

Congrats to Xanthic on a nice first light with his new ED80, a nice unguided Horsehead and flame http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7583-horsehead-nebula-19032014/

fwm891s shot of the NA and Pelikan shows lots of stuff :-) with good colour and gives a good idea of the scale of these objects http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7618-american-and-pelican-nebulae-23-03-2014/

Ibbo carried on with his shooting the lesser known DSOs with a nice view of Jones 1 Nebula http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7653-jones-1-wip/

Lunar
Well done PaulG on getting the lunar X, never captured it myself, http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7455-luna-x/

T A WOW showed what could be done with a smart phone and a scope here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7504-smartphone-moon/ a very good capture.

Ibbos big moon shows some nice colour http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7594-big-moon/

Planetary

Jupiter still takes centre stage but Mars is coming into prominence and should make some nice images this opposition.

Ibbo gave us a nice Mars with some very nice clouds evident http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7376-mars-1-3-2014/

Catman161 continues to give us nice Jupiter images http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7402-jupiter-04032014/

I do like Ibbos Jupiter in IR here http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7491-jupiter-10-3-2014-ir/ nice and big with loads of detail.

Sketching
No submissions this month

Widefield
Only one submission this month and thats from tbird with a view of Tattershall Castle and Orion http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/7568-tattershall-castle/

Conclusion
This month there have been two images that have that wow factor and stopped me in my tracks and thats Ibbos Jupiter in IR which I think shows superb detail, (I could never get owt like that from my old C11) and johnrts M106, the reprocess later in the thread. This image shows superb detail and colour, OK its 17 hours of data but that shows dedication to the task in hand, couple that with the final processing and its made a great image.

But there has to be one award and that goes to johnrt with his M106, super image. Congrats John and a key to APT is on its way to you.
